Hueco Tanks State Park & Historic Site

Just a 45-minute drive east of El Paso and world renowned for rock climbing, Hueco Tanks State Park & Historical Site is also known for its many Native American rock paintings, the remnants of a stage stop from the old Butterfield Trail and unique geology. Pictograph, climbing and birding tours are offered. To preserve its priceless historical treasures, the park admits limited numbers of visitors each day. Tent and RV campsites are available, some with electricity and water.
