Western Playland Amusement Park

Western Playland Amusement Park, 25+ acres of fun and excitement for over 50 years, is located across from Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino and is opened from March–October. Offering over 30 rides for all ages, it’s the #1 amusement park in West Texas and southern New Mexico. With challenging games, carny food and rides, like the extremely popular Tsunami, a drenching downhill water ride kids absolutely can’t get enough of; roller coasters, the long-standing El Bandido and the brand new Hurricane; and other less hair-raising attractions—The Drop Zone, The Miner Kids Coaster, Bumper Cars, and Tilt-A-Whirl—it’s a great time at an affordable price. As unusual as it may seem, pay-one-price tickets are based on the height of the visitor. Tickets: Pay One Price $20.45 for 42” and taller; $15.80 for visitors from 36”–41” or $5 general admission and $2.50/ride no matter how tall you are. From I-10, take Sunland Park exit 13 and head west.
